Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth, the county's chief election official, shared, "Over 211,000 votes were cast during the 11-day Early Voting period, showcasing the enthusiasm of our voters. For those yet to vote, tomorrow is your chance!"

Primary elections are crucial for selecting candidates for the November general election. Whether you're a Democrat or Republican, you'll have the opportunity to vote for candidates at federal, state, and local levels. In Harris County alone, there are 119 races in the Democratic Primary and 122 in the Republican Primary. However, the number of contests on your ballot will vary based on your registration and primary election.

Clerk Hudspeth expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that led to this historic moment. "Thanks to the hard work of both parties and my dedicated team, we're ready for our inaugural joint primary elections," she stated.

Here are some Election Day tips:

• Feel free to take your printed sample ballot or written materials into the voting booth.

• Remember, phones or cameras are not allowed within 100 ft. of the voting area.

• Accepted forms of photo ID include Texas Driver’s License, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas Personal Identification Card, and more. Voters without acceptable ID can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at a vote center.
