The GT Summer Olympics Camp in Channelview ISD started off with tremendous energy as GT students enthusiastically immersed themselves in a day brimming with fun, fitness, and camaraderie. The camp commenced with spirited team-building exercises and engaging workshops aimed at honing skills across various disciplines.
From early morning activities to afternoon challenges, participants eagerly showcased their talents and teamwork, setting a vibrant tone for the upcoming days of the camp. Channelview ISD is proud to provide this enriching experience, fostering a supportive environment where gifted and talented students can thrive both academically and socially.

Gadiel Monero, a graduate of Northbrook High School from Spring Branch ISD, shares insights into his successful first year at Colby College. Monero emphasizes the importance of perseverance, self-discipline, and seeking support when needed, highlighting these as pivotal factors in his academic journey.
Currently pursuing his education at Colby College, Monero exemplifies the Core Characteristics of a T-2-4 Graduate, including being academically prepared, ethical and service-minded, empathetic and self-aware, persistent and adaptable, a resourceful problem-solver, and a communicator and collaborator. His experience underscores Spring Branch ISD's commitment to fostering well-rounded students prepared for higher education and beyond.
HISD
Naomi Alade, a student from Houston Independent School District (HISD), has achieved gold in the Senior Female +73kg category at the prestigious 2024 Luxembourg Open for taekwondo. Competing against top-tier athletes, including future Olympians, Naomi showcased exceptional skill and unwavering dedication throughout the tournament.
Naomi's victory highlights her commitment to excellence in sports and her ability to perform under pressure at an international level. Representing HISD with pride, Naomi's achievement underscores the district's support for student athletes and their pursuit of athletic and personal goals.
