The opening night will feature captivating performances by vocalist Kim Prevost and guitarist Bill Solley, paired with a delightful dinner catered by Ragin Cajun.
On July 19, the festival partners with St. John’s Downtown Church to present saxophonist Kim Waters at the WeServ Theater. This evening is sure to be a treat for jazz aficionados.
The excitement continues on July 20 with two master classes hosted at Trinity Episcopal Church, free and open to the public. These sessions will feature distinguished artists Ermelinda Cuellar, Horace Alexander Young, and Benny Benack III, providing invaluable insights into the world of jazz.
Saturday evening's main event takes place back at Trinity Episcopal Church’s historic sanctuary, headlined by the Emmy-nominated Benny Benack III, known for his dynamic style and smooth vocals. Houston’s own vocal jazz favorite, Ermelinda Cuellar, will open the show, showcasing her latest Latin Jazz album, ‘Under Lavender Sky.’
