In honor of National Cancer Survivors Month, Extended Stay America®, the nation’s premier mid-priced extended-stay hotel brand, is amplifying its support for cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease through its heartwarming 'Celebrating Survival' initiative. This campaign extends their ongoing partnership with the American Cancer Society, spotlighting the incredible resilience and perseverance of these brave individuals.
Messages of Hope and Encouragement
Throughout June, Extended Stay America is installing pop-up ‘Hope Walls’ at participating locations nationwide. These walls invite guests to leave messages of support and encouragement for cancer survivors and fighters. Additionally, the company has launched a digital Hope Wall, accessible to everyone at https://www.esa.com/celebrating-survival. Here, well-wishers from around the globe can share their messages, with new notes of hope and inspiration featured daily.
Spreading Love and Encouragement
At the end of the month, Extended Stay America will partner with the American Cancer Society to distribute all collected Hope Wall messages to cancer patients and survivors across the country, ensuring these heartfelt words reach those who need them most.
Commitment to Supporting Cancer Patients
Since the beginning of their partnership in 2013, Extended Stay America has shown unwavering support for cancer patients and their families. The brand has provided nearly 250,000 complimentary and discounted nights of lodging, saving families over $15 million in accommodation costs. This initiative helps ease the financial burden, allowing patients to focus on their treatment and recovery.
Each Extended Stay America suite features fully equipped kitchens, allowing guests to maintain their dietary routines during their stay. The hotels also offer amenities like free Wi-Fi, on-site laundry facilities, and pet-friendly rooms, creating a comfortable, home-like environment for those undergoing treatment.
A Message from Leadership
“Our ongoing partnership with the American Cancer Society has been incredibly meaningful to us. It has been our privilege to connect with so many brave cancer patients and to serve as a reliable, comfortable home away from home during their treatment,” said Greg Juceam, President, and CEO of Extended Stay America. “National Cancer Survivors Month is another way for us to show our unwavering support. We look forward to seeing guests from all around the country come together to leave a message of encouragement and love for those who have survived cancer or are currently fighting cancer.”
