The American Red Cross, in collaboration with partners, has opened ten emergency shelters across the Texas Gulf Coast Region to assist those affected by Hurricane Beryl. Red Cross workers are prepared to provide meals, a place to cool off, and a safe place to sleep. Tomorrow, ten emergency response vehicles will distribute food, water, and emergency supplies to the affected communities.

- Prescriptions and emergency medications

- Foods that meet unusual dietary requirements

- Identification and important personal documents

- Extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies, and other comfort items

- Supplies for children and infants, such as diapers, formula, and toys

- Special items for elderly or disabled family members

- Chargers for electronic devices

- Books, games, and other entertainment
