Fort Bend ISD
Although school is out, learning continues in Fort Bend ISD with a series of engaging Summer Cooking Classes. The district is offering both family sessions and adults-only sessions, priced per person. Families can enjoy a discount of $15 per class when purchasing four or more sessions in the same transaction.
Family sessions are open to individuals aged 5 and up, with those 17 or younger required to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. Adult sessions are available for participants aged 21 and up.

Aldine ISD Partners with Hobby Center for ExxonMobil Discovery Series
Aldine ISD has partnered with the Hobby Center for Performing Arts to launch the ExxonMobil Discovery Series, benefiting over 4,000 fifth graders annually. Running from September 23rd to February 25th, the series offers students the chance to experience live theater, music, dance, and more, performed by Houston-based artists. This inaugural year promises a transformative educational experience, enriching students' education by exposing them to diverse cultures and fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Pasadena ISD Highlights Nutrition Services Achievements
Pasadena ISD recognized its Nutrition Services department for implementing various initiatives throughout the 2023-2024 school year to improve school diets, cost-effectiveness, and culinary programs for younger students. Child Nutrition Director Mary Harryman and her staff were honored at this week's board meeting. Notable programs include the Community Eligibility Program, Child and Care Feeding Program, and Fruit and Vegetable Program, all benefiting PISD cafeterias and families. The district thanks Nutrition Services for their exceptional efforts.
Humble ISD
Atascocita High School graduate Jelani Watkins has been named the 2023-2024 Gatorade Texas Boys Track & Field Player of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes Watkins' outstanding athletic performance, academic excellence, and exemplary character on and off the field. Watkins, who excels in sprints and relays, has set multiple school records and consistently demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship.
