Cash Money Records Co-Founders Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams Honored with Street Naming in Hometown of New Orleans on July 3

In a fitting tribute to their monumental influence on music and their enduring commitment to their hometown, Cash Money Records co-founders Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams are being honored with a street naming in New Orleans. The intersection of Saratoga St. and Erato St., where the Williams brothers grew up, will be christened "Honorary Williams Brothers Way" on July 3.

The street naming ceremony is scheduled to take place from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the intersection. This significant event not only celebrates their global success but also acknowledges their continuous contributions to the New Orleans community.

Marc H. Morial, President & CEO of the National Urban League and former Mayor of New Orleans, expressed his pride in this recognition: "As former mayor of New Orleans, I’m extremely proud of the street being named in honor of 'Baby' and 'Slim,' CEOs of Cash Money Records. Their contributions to the music industry and their impact on our community have been immense, shaping the cultural landscape and providing opportunities for countless artists from the Crescent City."

This honor precedes Birdman's highly anticipated performance at the ESSENCE Festival on July 5 at Caesars Superdome. The show, titled "Birdman and Friends," will feature a lineup of Cash Money Records' greatest hits and guest appearances. During the performance, Marc Morial will present a proclamation recognizing the Williams brothers' outstanding contributions to hip-hop culture and their philanthropic efforts.

Cash Money Records continues to thrive under the leadership of Birdman and Slim, with a roster that includes R&B star Jacquees and emerging artists like TBOSS, Onisght Deeda, Rublow, and Saxboy KD.
