We planned something special to let her know how excited we are to welcome her home,” said Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. “Beyoncé and the Knowles family have greatly supported our city during good and challenging times. Houston is where she started. No matter where she goes, Houston will always be home. We want her to feel the love and respect this city has for her and our appreciation for all the positive recognition she has garnered for Houston.”
“Beyoncé’s international star power is unrivaled, and we are incredibly fortunate that she is a consummate ambassador for Houston around the world,” said Houston First President and CEO Michael Heckman. “Houston First is excited to collaborate with the City of Houston and Central Houston to welcome Beyoncé home during her tour.”
“The Mayor and the City of Houston are so proud to welcome one of its most-accomplished artists with a dazzling homecoming spectacle. As Downtown is the heart of the city, it is from here and against the backdrop of our beautiful skyline that we offer our love for the talent and achievement of this native Houstonian,” said Kris Larson, President & CEO, Central Houston, Inc.
