The Bush School of Government & Public Service is pleased to welcome five new members to its Advisory Board:
The Honorable Henry Cisneros, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and current Chairman of American Triple I Partners, joined the Advisory Board in the Fall of 2022, as did U.S. Army Major General (retired) Dana Pittard, who now serves as the Vice President of Defense Programs at Allison Transmission.
In the Spring of 2023, the Board added The Honorable Clark Ervin, a veteran of Texas state government who later served as Inspector General of both the U.S. State Department and the Department of Homeland Security. At the same time, Bush School graduate Sarah Jackson, Vice President of the Dallas Citizens Council and sitting Chairman of the Texas Lyceum, joined the Board, along with Ms. Laura Schilling, a Senior Vice President at TechnipFMC, a global energy company.
“I couldn’t be more excited about these outstanding additions to the Bush School Advisory Board,” commented Bush School Dean Mark A. Welsh III. “Their collective knowledge and experience in so many different areas is absolutely stunning. They have already brought a great deal of energy and excitement to the Advisory Board, and to our faculty and staff as well. The Bush School is privileged to have these remarkable individuals on our Advisory Board.”
To close out the Bush School’s 25th Anniversary Year, the Advisory Board recently held its annual meeting at the school’s Washington, D.C. teaching site, known as Bush School DC. Advisory Board members met with faculty, staff, and students to better understand both the opportunities and challenges they face in the nation’s capital.
The Advisory Board is fully committed to the success of the Bush School of Government & Public Service as it begins its next 25 years of producing principled public servants for Texas, our nation, and the world.
