Lone Star Brewing is excited to announce its latest campaign geared toward the celebration of Porch Season, the time of year when the weather is nice enough to sit outside and enjoy good beer and good company. The National Beer of Texas has partnered with Texas personalities including a chef, a bartender and a DJ collective to come up with recipes and a playlist that are perfect for the porch.
“Some of the best memories with friends and family are made on the porch or in the backyard, so it makes sense for us to help fans of Lone Star Beer prepare for those moments as the weather gets warmer and we start to head outside,” said Lone Star Brand Director Brandon Kieffer. “We partnered with some of our best friends across Texas who know how to make porch hangs memorable and we think people will really enjoy the food, tunes and drinks that they’ve shared.”
Houston-based Chef Alex Padilla was tapped to create recipes that are ideal for a porch hangout. His Queso Borracho-Drenched Burgers and Thirsty Oysters both feature Lone Star Light among the ingredients. Anyone can access his recipes HERE to try for themselves as they head out to the porch. For those looking to take their beer to the next level, Lone Star has also partnered with San Antonio Bartender Aaron Peña to create a cocktail named Texas Heat. The drink features Lone Star Light, serrano pepper, Desert Door Sotol, lemon juice and more. The recipe can be found HERE.
Lone Star knows that a porch hangout needs the right music. To help set the tone for a good porch party, the brand has enlisted Strawberry Jams, a San Antonio/Austin-based DJ Collective, to put together a playlist worthy of a great time. The playlist features bands and artists with ties to Texas like Janis Joplin, the Black Pumas, Sir Douglas Quintet, Charley Crocket and more. Artists vary from George Jones and Willie Nelson to up-and-coming artists like Vanita Leo, who is leading the charge in new wave Chicanx music. The playlist can be listened to via Spotify.
