Houston Society for Change partners with Congregation Beth Yeshurun on Juneteenth Celebration: Juneteenth Conversation with Dr. Ruth J. Simmons has been rescheduled to Monday, June 19, 2023, at Congregation Beth Yeshurun 4525 Beechnut St Houston, Texas at 5:00pm.

Juneteenth Conversation with Dr. Ruth J. Simmons is a conversation about the history, celebration and impact Juneteenth has had on African Americans in America.

Dr. Ruth J. Simmons is a world renown national respected leader and the former president of Prairie View A&M University and president emerita of both Brown University and Smith College, and now has joined Rice University, as a President’s Distinguished Fellow. President Simmons will work with a variety of programs across campus and will advise the President’s Office on various matters.
