Casey Curry, a well-known meteorologist and community advocate, has announced her candidacy for Houston City Council At-Large #3.
Casey Curry is a trusted and familiar face in Houston, having served as a meteorologist on Houston television for more than 10 years. In addition to her successful career in meteorology, she has been actively involved in the business community as well as numerous community organizations and nonprofits. Curry serves on the Board of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, is an active volunteer with The Women’s Fund and a longtime animal advocate, personally fostering dozens of dogs and cats.
Curry is deeply committed to the city of Houston and has a strong passion for public service. Her extensive experience in the media and public engagement has given her a unique perspective on the issues facing the city, including climate change, public safety, and economic development.
"I'm running for Houston City Council At-Large #3 because I want to make a difference for every Houstonian." said Curry. "I am not a career politician and I am not tainted by backroom dealings. The status quo is not serving the people, it is serving special interests. I am running to bring a fresh perspective to city government. Houston gave me a home - where I met my husband, we had our daughter and are building our life together. I want to serve the people of HOUSTON and make this city better for everyone, not just the status quo.
Her passion for Houston and commitment to public service make her a strong candidate for Houston City Council At-Large #3.
The election for Houston City Council At-Large #3 is scheduled to take place November 7, 2023. Curry is eager to engage Houstonians about the issues that matter most to them during this campaign and continue to help Houston weather big storms.
