Business Association Backs Property Tax Legislation by Texas Lieutenant Governor and Speaker

As the Texas State Chamber, The Texas Association of Business (TAB) today released a statement supporting property tax legislation announced by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and Speaker Dade Phelan:

“The most business-friendly state is on the brink of the biggest property tax cut in its history,” said TAB Chairman Massey Villarreal. “We thank the Lt. Governor, Speaker, and lawmakers for their dedication to this issue.”

“TAB applauds Governor Greg Abbott for declaring property tax relief a priority for 2023. Policies matter, and when the Best State for Business passes an $18 billion property tax cut, it will accelerate Texas’ GDP and population growth,” said TAB CEO Glenn Hamer.
