One of Ferragamo’s best-selling watch collections, F-80 Skeleton unveils an exclusive new look that reflects the brand’s vision of sustainability and its commitment to researching and using innovative materials with a low environmental impact.
Just a few months after the launch of the F-80 Skeleton With Sustainable Strap, presented during World Ocean Month 2022, Ferragamo again revisits this unisex model, produced using two responsible materials for the timepiece’s main components.
The 41 mm case is made from a bio-based ceramic material consisting of a blend of ceramic powder and biopolymers, while the strap is textured bio-based polyurethane. The two models’ monochromatic colour scheme recalls natural elements, featuring Amaretto inspired by earthy colours and Navy Blue, conjuring up the ocean depths.
The two screws at 6 and 12 o’clock - the hallmark of all F-80 models - are IP Rose Gold.
The automatic movement – another aspect of a sustainable approach that aims to limit energy consumption - can be seen through the transparent case back and the skeleton dial with sunray finish, while the luminous hands and indexes add highlights to the solid colours.
F-80 Skeleton is contained in special packaging, also made from responsible materials: the FSC-certified cardboard box protects a wood and metal case covered in bio-based leather, while the watch pillow is a bio-plastic material derived entirely from sugar cane.
The F-80 Skeleton automatic watches are available now at Ferragamo boutiques, on ferragamo.com and at authorized retailers, $2,195.
