Young people often learn about money informally through socialization, such as observing and listening to their guardians, influential adults, and peers. Due to this, youth that come from low-income households can fall victim to scams, high-interest rate loans, and debt. The Sanders Hand Nonprofit organization is dedicated to work towards putting a stop to that! Through their Young Billionaire Club program, a program developed to provide entrepreneurial education to at-risk youth to gain financial stability, the organization is excited to host the grand opening of their new Young Billionaire Club Thrift Shop, on Saturday, August 19th from 12pm-6pm.

Since their founding in 2017, The Sanders Hand, has been committed to serving Houston, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City communities through their pillar programs focused on education, community, and service. To date, they have given away more than $20,000 in scholarships to students of the program, graduating over 72 students from leadership camps, and increasing projected household income from their services by almost $20,000.

The Young Billionaire Thrift Shop aims to change your ordinary view on shopping! With every purchase, customers will unlock digital financial literacy lessons, empowering them with the knowledge to make smart financial decisions. The thrift shop will also serve as a training ground, providing on-the-job training for Young Billionaire Club students. They'll gain valuable skills and hands-on experience in business and entrepreneurship, setting them on the path to success.
