The Health Museum in partnership with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will hold a Community Blood Drive. The blood drive will take place on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, at The Health Museum – located at 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, Texas 77004. Nationally, blood and plasma supply has dropped to historic lows during COVID-19. Locally, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs 1,000 donations every day of the year to be able to provide blood and blood products to 170 hospitals and health care institutions in the local region. While one in seven hospitalized people need a blood transfusion in a lifetime, only one in 20 eligible blood donors actually donate. There is no substitute for blood – your donation saves lives.

Each donor will receive a free T-Shirt, a voucher for a free pint of Blue Bell ice cream, and a voucher for a free medium hot or iced coffee AND a free donut from Dunkin’ Donuts in appreciation of their blood donation (while supplies last).
