On last Saturday, Beyond Fostering kicked-off their 2nd Anniversary with an incredible Car Parade and their inaugural Beyond The Lunch Box Summer Food Program in partnership with Collaborative Voices and The Houston Food bank. Every car that participated received $50 in cash as a surprise for their participation! Ana Flores with Flo Eventz surprised Beyond Fostering participants with a pop-up balloon display at the car parade and the kids' smiles said it all! Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee made a very special guest appearance to present an Official Congressional Document to Founder/Director Nikki Jackson for her achievement with Beyond Fostering, Inc.

The organization gave out 7 meals per child to families in need of assistance which included fresh produce. Although their core focus are kids in foster care, due to COVID-19, the organization recognizes the economic hardship for millions of Americans and saw there was a growing need in the Greenspoint area. In order to ensure the safest handling of the meals, the organization wore masks and families were able to pull their vehicles right up with their trunks popped to receive what they needed.

The Lunch Box Summer Food Program will repeat every weekend from 11AM-1PM on Saturdays Only until August 15, 2020 from 11AM-1PM at 440 Benmar Drive, Houston, Texas 77060 (back parking lot). Kids do not have to be present in order for parents to pick-up meals.
