HOUSTON, TX – July 25, 2019 –– Macy’s will open Macy’s Backstage within its location at Macy’s Baybrook Mall on August 10. This location is the fourth Backstage to open in the Houston area, joining Macy’s Backstage at Macy’s Willowbrook Mall, Macy’s Pearland Town Center as well as Macy’s Post Oak Mall in College Station, TX. Macy’s off-price business commitment has successfully expanded Backstage to more than 200 Macy’s stores, allowing customers to shop both merchandise offerings in one shopping trip. Macy’s Backstage offers fashion-loving customers another way to shop at their favorite store by providing a store-within-store shopping experience featuring significant savings on fabulous finds.

Macy’s Backstage Baybrook will have 12,800 square feet of dedicated retail space on the second level inside the full-line Macy’s. The grand opening will be celebrated with a variety of events and giveaways for the first 100 customers, with one lucky customer receiving a $200 shopping spree. Shoppers should expect great savings on apparel for men, women and children, as well as amazing deals on an eclectic assortment of housewares, home textiles and décor, cosmetics, hair and nail care, pet accessories, kid’s shoes, designer handbags, activewear and more.

To support the growth of Macy’s Backstage, a new Backstage distribution center in Columbus, Ohio, will officially open on August 15. It will be dedicated to expediting merchandise to Backstage locations nationwide, ensuring each store always has fresh and exciting product.

Macy’s Backstage is operated by its own buying team who scour the world to find the most fabulous product at the best prices. This structure allows Backstage to deliver a constantly changing assortment of on-trend merchandise at 20 to 80 percent off traditional department store prices and encourages customers to return often to find new treasures. The wide selection will include fresh product from both new and renowned brands. The store will also carry apparel and accessory brands not currently available at the full-line Macy’s, and each Backstage location is specially curated to deliver the perfect style for each community it serves.
