Achievement Through Leadership Foundation (ATLF), the charitable arm of the Missouri City-Sugar Land (TX) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Mo-City Nupes) will proudly host their 4th annual scholarship fundraiser, the 2018 “Kasino Royale,” on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at The Hilton Americas in downtown Houston.
“Kouture Koterie en Blanc” – an all white party – will start at 8 p.m. and go until midnight. This year’s charitable effort will go towards ATLF’s scholarships and PROJECT S.L.A.M. – STEM and Leadership Academy for Males - summer enrichment program (a STEM and Leadership Academy for Males). In 2017, this fundraiser along with other contributions bestowed an unprecedented 14 scholarships worth $12,000 to high school seniors from several Houston-area school districts as well as undergraduates from Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, the University of St. Thomas, Sam Houston State University and Texas State University.
“Kasino Royale” will feature an elegant buffet, cocktails, live music, dancing and chances to win spectacular prizes at the casino tables. The night’s big winner will receive a “Porsche for the Weekend” sponsored by Momentum Porsche. Other prizes include Ensemble Theatre season passes and a Country Club golf adventure. The achievements of 40 Houston-area educators will be recognized with ATLF’s 2nd Annual “Educator of Excellence” awards.
This is a night that Houstonians will not want to miss. The 2017 event was sold out, so it is highly suggested that tickets be purchased as soon as possible to be a guest at this stellar evening. Visit www.KR18.eventbrite.com to purchase tickets for $75 each.
