Media moguls Emilian V. White and TC Thompkins, music legends, were honored for their 40+ years in the music business with City Proclamations at Houston City Hall.
Council Member Michael Kubosh and Mayor Sylvester Turner gave the proclamation and certificate of appreciation in front of a packed city council chamber. Friends, family, and members of the music business were in attendance. Both men worked for Epic Records, CBS Records, and numerous other record companies and radio stations throughout their careers and have helped shape the careers of Luther Vandross, Tina Marie, Barry White, Isley Brothers, Sade, Michael Jackson just to name a few. The list is too numerous to name. Some in attendance were Laurie Vignaud, Unity Bank. Pastor Ed Montgomery, Isiah Carey, Lynden Rose, Council Member Jerry Davis, Kameron White, Emaya White, Kim White, Max White, and Paris Ealy (1230KCOH-The Source).
