Photography by Vicky Pink - The Houston Chapter of the National Alumnae Association Spelman College held their annual Game Changers Luncheon. The blue and white affair is a scholarship fundraiser to capitalize an endowment for young women in the Houston area who will attend Spelman in Fall 2019 and beyond. In addition, an amazing group of powerful women were honored including Global Game Changer Rosalind Brewer, Pastor Mia Wright Vanessa Wyche, Winell Herron, and Gaynell Drexler. Deirdre Barrett England chaired the event. Some in attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Genora Boykins, Carolyn Evans, Dr. Rhea Lawson, Judge Clarice Yates, Willie Mae Evans, Rhonda Skillern-Jones, Etta Hill, Sharon Owens, Pam Davis, Rhonda Williams, and Gayla Gardner.
