Photography by Vicky Pink - The Fifth Ward Neighborhood Civic Club is dedicated to the uplift and enhancing the quality of life for those living in and supporting Fifth Ward. Members honored Rev. Harvey Clemons Jr., pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, at the 2nd Annual 2018 Awards Banquet. Rev. Clemons received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his donation of his time, finances, and resources. Rev. Clemons received proclamations from local, state and national political leaders. In addition, Rev. Clemons is the current Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation Chairman. Some in attendance were Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and State Rep. and Harold Dutton.
