Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 2018 Awards Dinner

Photography Courtesy of Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce - Confetti fell as champagne glasses clicked in jubilation at the annual Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner. more than 1,500 community leaders gathered with the chamber’s CEO Laura Murillo to honor Houston’s Hispanic Community Leaders. All eyes were focused on incoming Harris County Judge-Elect Lina Hidalgo who made her first public appearance since riding the Democratic blue wave to unseat longtime serving Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. Business leaders recognized during the festive affair included Mayor Sylvester Turner; Cemex USA’s Ignacio Madridejos; AARP’s Isabel Longoria; Snapper Jack’s Catering, represented by Angelica Noyola; Vanir Construction’s Dorene Dominguez; and Garcia, Hamilton & Associates’ Gilbert Garcia. The 2018 class of the chamber’s foundation’s Emerging Leaders Institute were also honored.
