Photography by Vicky Pink - The Elliott Chandler Foundation celebrated their tenth anniversary by continuing to fulfill their mission of helping young men succeed. During their anniversary gala, ECF awarded HISD’s Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Boys school with a $10k donation. The donation will be utilized to further enhance programming for SAT/ACT courses. In addition, scholarships were presented to five young men. The organization was founded by Ronald and Regina Jackson to provide critical assistance and support to young men who are demonstrating a desire to excel in the area of academics. Some in attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner, Lucy Bremond, Polly Sparks Turner, Stacey Frank, Shawntell McWilliams, Crystal Hadnott, and Len Cannon.
