Comcast Houston Hispanic Hero Awards Gala

Location – Houstonian Hotel - Photography by Vicky Pink - In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Comcast’s Houston region recently honored 10 community volunteers at the 2017 Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards Gala. The honorees were recognized for their commitment to making a difference in the community. The 2017 honorees were Marian Cabanillas, Nelly Moyano Fraga, Stephen Fraga, Rey Gonzales, Rene Gonzalez, Miguel Hernandez, David Medina, Estell Mireles, Hugo Mojica, and Vanessa Ramirez. During the program, T. Ray Purser and Tony Canales gave remarks about Comcast’s commitment to the Hispanic community. Antonio Hernandez was the Master of Ceremonies. Each honoree received $1,000 to donate to the non-profit organization of their choice. Some in attendance were City Councilman Robert Gallegos, Ralph Martinez, Ashley Turner, Tony Canales, Paul Dewey, Kristen Oesch Stubbs, Joe Jimenez, Adriana Gonzalez, Judson Robinson III, Rev. Leslie Smith, Carl Kidd, Courtney Johnson Rose, Juanna Collins, Bryce Kennard, and Yolanda Green Barnes.
