Photography by Vicky Pink - “It Takes A Village to Make a Difference,” was the theme of the Harris Institute 2017 Breakfast Fundraiser. The 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization founded by former NASA Astronaut Dr. Bernard A. Harris, Jr., serves students and communities in the areas of Education, Health, and Wealth through a variety of educational programs. Around 200 people heard from the event speakers that included Dr. Bernard A. Harris, Jr., Derrick Boxill, Truman Bell, Susan Jansen Varnum, and Phil Sprick. The tone of the breakfast was set b the Bumble Bee Choir at Burrus Elementary School.
