But according to a WalletHub survey, Houston's diversity shines brightly with the city holding the top spot for the most diverse city in the U.S., ahead of New York and Los Angeles. Houston, a city of nearly 3 million residents and growing fast, is a city without a majority, where more than 140 different languages are spoken, with Spanish and Vietnamese among the most prominent. According to thecitywithnolimits.com, which used data from the Kinder Institute and Rice University, Houston is more diverse than the U.S., enjoying a racial diversity that's 37 percent Anglo, 37 percent Hispanic, 17 percent black, and 8 percent Asian.
