About the property

Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa is an AAA Four-Diamond, coastal inspired property north of Palm Beach, Florida. The design embodies Florida habitat by embracing a blend of beachside and nautical luxury making it truly stunning with simple but very elegant and clean touches. Like many others, the first impression of a hotel’s lobby determines what your stay will be like. Walking into the lobby of the Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa and I knew my stay would be memorable. It is like taking a breath of fresh air. Immediately greeted by a welcoming staff, I felt right at ease at my temporary home. And how beautiful it was. Grand ceilings that seemed to go on endlessly hovered over interior décor of classic marbles, rich leathers, sand-colored tones, bold stripes, and accents of driftwood. Not to mention the beautiful cascading views of the ocean from the restaurant, guestrooms, and pools. It is easy to say one could be in awe with the amount of natural beauty that’s presented upon arrival.

Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa hotel room

Turning the knob of a hotel door is always a mystery, as you don’t know what to expect on the other side. Well, let me be the first to tell you how alluring this property is. My ocean side suite was suited with charming, coastal-inspired furnishings and signature Opal Collection Nest amenities. With a nautical color pallet of fresh white linen and hues of rich navy blue, accommodations gave off a relaxing and tranquil vibe. Guests may choose between three choice views for their stay - resort, oceanside, and pool. All rooms have ample space as well as oversized balconies with amazing bathrooms.

Sweet Blue Lump Crab Cake

What’s a good vacation without great food? Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa restaurants will keep your taste buds satisfied. For lunch, hang out at Reflections Pool Bar. Enjoy poolside dining with an all-day menu featuring an assortment of light bites, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. Need a break from the sun? Catered cabanas lining the reflections pool are available upon request!

For Dinner, indulge in the goodness of the Drift Kitchen + Bar dining environment overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with seating for 200. Inspired by a cultivation of culinary experiences, Drift Kitchen + Bar combines contemporary American Bistro with fresh local seafood selections. For dinner, I started with their house bread and the Sweet Blue Lump Crab Cake followed by the Blue Crab Crusted Grouper for an entrée. I finished off with the oh-so-yummy Chocolate Indulgence in a Jar. Guests can enjoy hand selected wines and carefully crafted beer and cocktails with the delicious fresh caught seafood, prime cuts, salads, and house-made pasta.

Enjoy the sea

Calling all Beach Bums! Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa offers guests miles of direct sandy beach access on Florida’s beautiful Treasure Coast. Beach activities include snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, sea turtle walks, morning beachside yoga, and nightly seashell hunts. If that is too much activity, take in the views of the shore and rent one comfy beach chairs and umbrellas.

Enjoy seaside swimming in one of the resorts two pools. Reflections Pool offers families a sun-drenched pool deck complete with a hot tub and pool bar while the Dune Pool is a secluded beachside adult heated pool and Jacuzzi, centrally located off the lobby overlooking the Atlanta Ocean. For an off property experience, drive a few minutes to surf the waves on the Ride the Waves Treasure Coast! Their two-seater small powerboats are a sure way to add some adventure during your stay.

Last, but certainly not least, de-stress at The Spa at Hutchinson. Guests can experience a full day of relaxation with select luxury treatments. The oceanfront spa provides guests with signature massages, facials, ocean-inspired body treatments, and makeup and nail services in the nine available treatment rooms at the spa boutique. I would highly recommend the 80-minute salted stone massage.

On a personal note

This resort was a real treat. The attention to detail was very noticeable throughout and it’s obvious that the staff takes pride in their property. From the size of the rooms to the beautiful ocean views and the overall layout, I would have to say that The Opal Collection and Ocean Properties nailed it with this one. Special thanks to Katie Kole and Jessica Shashaty of The Mayfield Group and Ed Griffith, General Manager of Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa for the wonderful accommodations.
