Washington, DC- Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a member of the House Budget Committee, a senior member of the House Committees on Judiciary and Homeland Security and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security and Investigations, called out the changes to the disastrous GOP Healthcare Bill.

“These changes will cut more money from health insurance and Medicaid. And the promise to lower premium payments is simply not a reality. States like Texas that did not take the Medicaid expansion will be even worse off.

“Many of my constituents who I’ve met with at Town Hall meetings and listening sessions in the district will see loved ones lose insurance and be thrown out of nursing homes. Despite the changes, TrumpCare remains a deeply flawed bill that wages a heartless assault on hard working American families.”
