Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Silver Airways are all adding new flights to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) over the next two months. The popularity of Panama City Beach as a year round destination continues to take off literally with the announcement of these three air carriers expanding service to reach the award-winning white sand beaches. The announcement comes on the heels of December 2014 numbers just released in which Panama City Beach celebrated a record-breaking number of visitors for the month, a 16% increase from the previous year. The new flights will serve leisure and business travelers from Dallas, Houston, Orlando and Tampa.

“Our slice of paradise continues to attract more visitors than ever and we are thrilled it will be even easier to experience Panama City Beach’s award-winning beach with these added flights,” shares Dan Rowe, president/CEO of the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We welcome new flights from Southwest, United and Silver Airways and appreciate their commitment to serve our stretch of the Sunshine State.”

Beginning on March 5, United Airlines will begin service between Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The twice-daily schedule will be operated by United Airlines regional branch, United Express.

Southwest Airlines will begin nonstop service from Dallas beginning on March 7 with Saturday nonstop service from Dallas Love Field (DAL). Beginning on April 8, Southwest Airlines will increase air service offerings with daily nonstop service from DAL with flights scheduled through the summer season. Introductory fares begin at $69.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport will be the 12th airport in the state serviced by Florida-based regional carrier Silver Airways. On March 19, the airline is starting nonstop service from both Orlando and Tampa to Panama City Beach, which are routes not currently being offered by any carrier.

In addition to the newly announced routes, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport welcomes travelers from major markets, both domestic and international. Leading low cost carrier Southwest Airlines operates daily flights through the airport non-stop from Baltimore, Houston and Nashville. Delta Airlines operates non-stop flights from Atlanta.
