HOUSTON (March 24, 2015) – Calling all beer enthusiasts and geeks! House of Blues presents Local Brews, Local Grooves - The Ultimate Craft Beer and Music Festival featuring over 25 craft beers and rare releases, 11 local bands, chef-inspired pub food pairings and more on Saturday, April 18 beginning at 6 p.m. One ticket offers entry into the Music Hall, Crossroads at House of Blues and Foundation Room. Local Brews, Local Groove highlights Houston’s hometown brews including Karbach Brewing Company, 8th Wonder Brewery, Cyclers Brewing and Saint Arnold Brewing Company, along with nationally known heavy hoppers like Goose Island Beer Co. and SweetWater Brewing Company. Plus, rare and cellared beers. (Featured finds and super rare offerings will be announced via House of Blues Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages as they are added.)
The event combines Bayou City brews with an eclectic mix of local indie rock, country, reggae, red dirt country, folk and hip hop. The Music Hall will feature Catch Fever with guests We Were Wolves, Guilla, Jay Hooks, Cassette Tape and Ruckus – with The Kracker Nuttz’s DJ Baby Jae on-site to get the party started. Potbelly and Ranson Bandits will take the Voodo Stage in Crossroads, while the Wayne Garner Band and Charlie and The Regrets will add a little Texas twang to Foundation Room.
General admission (21+ only) inside the House of Blues is $12 in advance and $15 day of show and includes access to the Music Hall, Crossroads at House of Blues and Foundation Room. VIP admission is $75 and includes priority entrance (5 p.m.) into the Music Hall, 2 tasting wristbands (good for 5 food or beverage samples), 2 food tickets and 2 limited edition Local Brews, Local Grooves koozies. (Note: tasting tickets are valid on the day of event only and are good toward tasting servings of featured craft beers, select non-alcoholic beverages or select food items only. Consumption of alcohol by persons under 21 or intoxicated persons is prohibited; proof of legal drinking age required to redeem tasting tickets for alcoholic beverages.) Designated drivers receive free admission and complimentary nonalcoholic beverages during the event.
